TOMORROW: Join @LibnOfCongress Carla Hayden and film historian Jacqueline Stewart for a discussion on American cinema in between screenings of select motion pictures added to the #NatFilmRegistry this year. „Outrage”, regizat de Ida Lupino în 1950, şi „The Hurt Locker”, regizat de Kathryn Bigelow, se numără printre cele nouă pelicule regizate de femei care au selectate în acest an. În fiecare an, în luna decembrie, Library of Congress include în National Film Registry un număr de 25 de filme care au o înaltă semnificaţie culturală, socială şi estetică. Titlurile sunt alese dintre sugestiile formulate de publicul larg pe site-ul Bibliotecii Congresului american şi în consultare cu reprezentanţii National Film Preservation Board. În urma celor 25 de filme selectate în 2020, numărul de pelicule incluse în National Film Registry a ajuns la 800.
